Effective July 8, 2026  |  Last Updated July 8, 2026

1. Introduction

Fit to Serve ("Fit to Serve," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website at fittoserve365.com (the "Site"), pre-order or purchase the book "Fit to Serve" by Pastor Mark Addis, sign up for our email list, contact us, or otherwise interact with us.

This policy is written with reference to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, "CCPA/CPRA"). Even where statutory exemptions may apply, we provide California residents with the privacy choices described below as a matter of transparency and respect for our readers.

2. California Notice at Collection

The following summary describes the categories of personal information we may collect, the purposes, whether each category is sold or shared, and how long it is retained. Full details appear in the sections that follow.

Identifiers (name, email, church or organization name)

Internet or network activity (server logs)

We do not currently run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on the Site, and the Site does not set cookies. We do not process orders or payments through the Site.

3. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

Categories of personal information defined by California law that we may collect:

We do not collect commercial or purchase information through the Site. Book purchases happen on third-party retailer sites under their own privacy policies.

4. Sensitive Personal Information

We do not intentionally request Sensitive Personal Information through the Site. As a Christian discipleship resource, we may infer that visitors and readers have an interest in Christian faith. We treat any such information with discretion. If our practices change, we will update this policy and offer the Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information.

6. Business and Commercial Purposes for Collection

We use personal information to:

7. Service Providers and Contractors

We disclose personal information to service providers and contractors who process information on our behalf and only for the purposes we direct. We may add, change, or replace providers from time to time, provided the new provider serves an equivalent purpose under similar confidentiality and security obligations. Our current providers are:

If we add providers in the future, for example an email newsletter platform or analytics service, we will update this policy before or alongside that change.

8. Third Parties, Retailers, and Advertising

In addition to service providers, we share personal information with the following third parties. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

Third-party retailers and book platforms

You may purchase the book through third-party retailers and platforms. When you click a link from our Site to one of these retailers, you leave our Site and the retailer's privacy policy applies. The list below is representative and not exhaustive. We may add or change retail partners over time. Examples include:

Advertising and analytics partners

We do not currently use any analytics or advertising services on the Site. As the book launches and afterward, we may add analytics or engage in paid marketing and advertising. Before we add any such tracking, we will:

Other recipients

9. Payment Information

We do not process payments through the Site, and we do not collect or store payment card information. Book purchases are completed on third-party retailer sites, and any payment information you provide there is governed by the retailer's privacy policy. If we add direct ordering to the Site in the future, we will update this policy first.

10. "Sale" and "Sharing" of Personal Information Under CPRA

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising or build remarketing audiences from our website visitors, and the Site runs no advertising or analytics trackers. If we engage in such activity in the future, an opt-out mechanism will be made available through a cookie consent manager on our Site, through this policy, and through a clearly labeled "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our website footer.

California residents with questions or requests about sale or sharing may contact us using the information in Section 13.

You can also enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser. If we ever begin selling or sharing personal information, we will treat a valid GPC signal as an opt out for that browser or device.

11. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, and to maintain accurate records. Typical retention periods:

12. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site does not currently set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, or other tracking technologies. Because there is no tracking to consent to, the Site does not display a cookie consent banner.

If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will add a cookie consent manager first, gate all such tracking behind your opt-in consent, honor browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as automatic opt-out requests, and update this policy.

13. How to Submit a Request

To exercise any of your rights, contact us using one of the methods below:

We will verify your identity before responding to a request involving specific personal information. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. If we need more time, we will notify you and may extend by an additional 45 days as permitted by law.

Authorized agents: you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require the agent to provide written, signed authorization from you and verify your identity directly.

14. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under CCPA/CPRA:

15. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 without affirmative authorization. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

16. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Our service providers maintain their own security measures. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

17. Links to Third-Party Sites

Our Site may link to third-party websites and services, including but not limited to Amazon, other booksellers, publisher sites, social media platforms, and any other third parties we may add or change over time. The privacy practices of any linked third party are governed by their own privacy policies, not ours. Review the privacy policies of those services before submitting information.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as the book launches and as we add ecommerce, paid advertising, additional retail partners, or other features. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised Last Updated date. Material changes will be communicated by a notice on our Site or by email where appropriate.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

California residents may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As stated in Section 10, we do not sell or share personal information for these purposes, and the Site runs no advertising or analytics trackers. If we engage in such activity in the future, an opt-out mechanism will be made available through a cookie consent manager on our Site and through this policy, and we will honor Global Privacy Control signals as opt-out requests for the browser or device sending the signal.
